When my wife and I began our IVF journey, I had no idea what to expect. Everyone talks about the medical side, but not enough people prepare men for the emotional, financial, and mental weight that comes with it.
Here’s what I wish someone had told me at the start:
It’s a Team Sport – You’re not just supporting your partner — you’re in it too. Be present for every appointment, every injection
on, every conversation.
Stay Resilient – There will be highs and lows. Some days will feel like a win; others will knock the wind out of you. Your consistency is what matters most.
It’s Okay Not to Have All the Answers – I thought I had to “fix” everything. What my wife really needed was my presence, patience, and love.
That journey inspired me to write The IVF Playbook for Men. I wanted to create the resource I wish existed — a guide for men walking through IVF who need clarity, encouragement, and a reminder that they are not alone.
